Whichpond Music - Help/Frequently Asked Questions
Where's my old account? The Whichpond Music website underwent a major overhaul in March 2017. The new site will deliver a more efficient and pleasing experience. However, there was no way to transfer customer data from the old site to the new one. No worries though, if you need sheet music downloads from an old purchase contact me and I'll send it along.
You are welcome to create a new account, or purchase music as a guest.
How will my sheet music be delivered? Digital sheet music downloads come in the form of .PDF files.
Do I need any special software to download/print the music? In the vast majority of cases, no. Most computers and web browsers are equipped with the necessary software/extensions and will open the files with no problem. Each piece in the catalog has score sample pages available for download. If you can download/print these then you're all set. If you're having issues viewing the files you can download the latest version of the free Adobe Acrobat Reader.
When will I receive my music? You'll get it immediately after ordering. (Cool, eh?) There will be a link to your download(s) on your order confirmation page. You will also receive an email containing download links. I haven't experienced any issues yet, but if you don't receive the email after a few minutes, check your spam folder. If you can't find your download email and it's not in your spam folder please feel free to contact me and I'll take a look.
Do I have to download and print my music right away? No. The download links won't expire, and you can print the music whenever you feel like it. Clicking on the download link will save the music to your computer, you can print it at your convenience. Just remember where the file was saved on your computer so you can find it later.
I clicked on the download link but I can't find my music. Where is it? In the majority of cases clicking on the download link will automatically open the sheet music or bring up a dialog box where you can choose where to save the music on your computer/device. If you click on the download link and nothing appears to happen, the music is still most likely on your computer. Check your default download folder or whichever folder you have set up to store downloaded files. If you're still having trouble please don't hesitate to contact me. I want you to play the music so I'm always glad to help.
I never received my order confirmation email/I can't see the download links. How come? In rare instances emails from Whichpond Music might get blocked by your email provider. This can sometimes happen with email accounts affiliated with educational institutions or the military. First step is to check your spam or junk mail folder. If there's nothing there please contact me and I can send your order emails to an alternate address.
I'd like to play a Whichpond Music publication for my solo/ensemble festival audition, but the rules say I need a hard copy. Any advice? First, check with your band/orchestra director or the organizer of the festival. They will be more help than I. That said, I haven't yet heard of any issues caused by performers playing Whichpond Music publications sold as digital downloads. Just be sure to print off a copy of your receipt as well as the license included with each piece. But again, just to be safe, check with the festival ahead of time.
I have an unconventional ensemble, can I get one of the parts transposed? Usually, yes, just contact me first. I don't always have the time to sit down and do the transpositions but I'll do my best to accommodate all requests (unless it's totally nuts). There is a small fee per transposed part.
What size paper do I need to print the music? All Whichpond publications are formatted to print on regular 8.5x11 sized paper.
What is your return policy? Due to the nature of the delivery process I can not offer refunds on digital sheet music orders that have been downloaded by the customer. For each piece in my catalog I have included photos, audio/video, and score samples. Before purchasing please consult this information to make sure the piece is right for your ensemble. If you have any questions about a specific piece feel free to contact me. Likewise, if you are having issues downloading or printing an order, I would be glad to help.
Can I get the music mailed to me? Usually, yes. The website isn't set up for snail mail deliveries, but you can contact me with a list of pieces you'd like to order along with your address and I'll create an invoice for you.
